The Tenterfield Chamber has a long history, with first records indicated on the 7th August 1928 in the Sydney Morning Herald and over the years has remained a strong support system to its members (the businesses of the Tenterfield Shire) in one form or another since that time. Now known as the Tenterfield Chamber of Tourism, Industry and Business (TCTIB) and fondly referred to as ‘the Chamber’ this organisation’s mission is to build a vibrant business community ensuring Tenterfield is a great place to work and visit.
Whether you have been a strong supporter of the Tenterfield Chamber for many years or are new to the Chamber; you are now apart of that legacy of a not for profit organisation dedicated to providing advocacy, information, training, marketing and empowering the businesses of Tenterfield in these ever changing business conditions.
Over recent years the Tenterfield Chamber have engaged in numerous initiatives; from regular networking drinks for business owners, business breakfast events, establishing Tenterfield True Cards, Tenterfield Business Awards, Christmas raffles, formed a subcommittee known as the Tenterfield Tourism Group, invested in magazine publications, video, social media platforms, local events and workshops to promote the Tenterfield Shire to name a few. The Chamber is also the connecting body between businesses and the Tenterfield Shire Council and Business NSW.
The board members of the Tenterfield Chamber are business owners just like yourself and volunteer their time for the benefit of the whole of the Tenterfield Business Community, sending out regular newsletters to its members informing them of upcoming events, workshops and other valuable information that assists businesses to make decisions and to stay agile in such dynamic times.
Tenterfield has continued to grow, evolve and expand in recent years and now more than ever it is important to build a strong network of business colleagues, share ideas, and knowledge and benefit from the resources available through the Chamber. We encourage you to consider membership (a tax-deductible cost for businesses) and help to strengthen the Tenterfield Business Community.
There are opportunities for business owners to get involved within the Chamber; from sponsorship of events to local/regional and state Business Awards to name a few. You do not have to be a board member to assist. We encourage our members to get involved with the Chamber and provide feedback when required from surveys, data collection and regular discussions.
We also encourage business owners passionate about Tenterfield to become board members or assist with events and initiatives.
